Unknown. 30 x 40 inch, c-type print. 2005"], :gallery=>{:title=>"Bare Exposure (Noster Nostri), 2004-2005", :description=>"artist statement \n인간의 얼굴은 몸 위에 위치한 하나의 지도 일 수 있으며 그것은 어떠한 것도 의미하지 않을 수 있다. ‘벌거벗은 노출(우리의 심장은 같이 뛴다)’이라는 제목 아래 본인은 이러한 인간의 얼굴을 넘어 피사체의 ‘무엇인가’(본질, 정체성 또는 내면 아니면 그 무언가)와 조우할 수 있는 방법이 없을까 생각해 보았고 그중 하나, 즉 얼굴의 표정이 얼굴을 넘어 피사체의 무엇인가를 보여주는 하나의 인덱스(징후)가 될 수 있는 가능성을 발견하였다. \n \n누군가의 벌거벗은 표정을 담기 위해 길거리에서 스쳐 지나가는 다양한 인종의 젊은이들 그리고 먼 친구들을 스튜디오에 불러 서로가 가지고 있는 인생의 가장 힘들었던 기억을 함께 회상하며 고해성사하듯 조용하고 편안한 공간에서 소통하며 촬영을 하였다. 젊어서 겪게 되는 여러 가지 사건들 부모님의 이혼, 부모의 죽음, 친구의 죽음, 어린 시절, 연인 문제, 가족의 비극 등의 문제를 그들은 얘기했고 회상하였으며 함께 슬퍼했다. 오랜 시간 동안 함께하며 촬영하였던 컷 중에서 가슴에 가장 영향을 미친, 즉 그들의 표정의 가장 벌거벗은 이미지, ‘에센스’라고 생각되는 한 컷을 선별하였다. 이러한 과정에서 탄생된 이미지는 본래 그들의 얼굴을 넘어 표정으로 된 ‘무언인가’가 풍겨져 나온다는 것을 깨달았다. \n \n카메라를 매개로 한 이러한 과정을 통해 이 사진은 나와 그들이 사이에서의 소통, 서로의 경험 또는 감정이 하나의 어떠한 덩어리로 된 ‘무엇인가’가 생성되었고 우리의 고된 기억을 불러일으키는 방아쇠가 탄생되었다는 것을 느꼈다. 여기 이 모든 사진이 그들의 ‘무엇이다’라고 얘기할 수는 없겠지만 확신할 수 있는 것은 이러한 과정과 결과물을 통해 그들과 나의 심장이 지도인 얼굴, 자라온 환경, 서로 다른 경험을 뛰어넘어 사진기를 가운데 두고 인간이라는 태두리 안에서 서로 악수하고 포옹하며 같은 심장을 가지고 함께 뛰고 있다는 것을 보여준다고 생각한다. 그리고 본인은 그것이 진정한 소통의 의미이며, 이 이미지가 우리 젊은이들의 초상이라고 믿는다.\n"}, :artist=>{:title=>"오석근, Oh Sukkuhn", :description=>"[학력] \nNottingham Trent University.
